I enjoyed that Alison, especially the reference to Ronaldo getting stretchered off.
Northern Engineering are getting back up to speed and we've introduced F"#*k up Fridays where anyone can "'fess up" to something that didn't go to plan. We keep it short; 15 to 30 mins and I always start the ball rolling. So far we have made a change to the way we take notes in phone calls for quotes, improved the process for hiring equipment and made weekly checks on how people feel about their workload.
We are also exploring a "surgery session" to follow on straight after, no not for operations, but for an open forum chat about anything from the working week so we can formally hear what the workforce need to vent or even agree on. This will help us to focus on more changes in a less random way, show that we are capable of listening and that we are making changes happen. Result?? A good end to the week and happier staff:)
